Vancouver, BC — May 20, 2026

BTD International, the newly launched distribution arm of Big Time Decent Productions, has secured multiple major international sales, continuing the company’s rapid global expansion following its debut at MIPCOM.

Viasat World has acquired Season 1 (8x60) of Underdog Truckers (aka Underdog Inc.) for Viasat Explore, the breakout AMI docuseries following a diverse group of backroad truckers, salvagers and recovery operators across remote Western Canada, each navigating life and work with visible and invisible disabilities. Set against the rugged terrain of British Columbia, the series features Dale Kristensen, a Little Person entrepreneur balancing the demands of running a trucking business and raising a young family alongside his son Cooper, as well as fellow Little Person and breakout digital creator Caden Teneycke, whose audience spans millions of followers across TikTok and social media, while also spotlighting others living with physical

disabilities, chronic health conditions and neurodivergence. Joined by personalities including Sean “Gripp” Fernside and Rust Valley Restorers’ Mike Hall, the series captures high-stakes recoveries, heavy hauls and the day-to-day realities of carving out a life and livelihood in some of Canada’s toughest backcountry terrain.

Underdog Truckers became AMI’s biggest premiere of all time and continues to build

momentum both domestically and internationally. Big Time Decent is currently in production on Season 3 for domestic broadcaster AMI.

In a separate deal, ProSiebenSat.1-Group has acquired all three seasons (24x60) of Mysteries of the Hollow Earth, the premium unscripted mystery series exploring conspiracy theories, hidden histories, and the enduring mythology surrounding the Hollow Earth phenomenon.

“These sales reflect the growing global appetite for bold, high-concept programming,” said Matthew Shewchuk, President of Big Time Decent Productions. “BTD International was built to move quickly, think globally, and create long-term value around original IP.”

“These deals are a strong validation of the type of programming we’re building and

representing,” added René Brar, Head of Development & Sales at Big Time Decent Productions. “Both series have bold concepts, strong audience hooks, and clear international appeal — and it’s exciting to see buyers responding to that.”

Launched ahead of MIPCOM 2025, BTD International was created to support the company’s growing slate of premium scripted and unscripted programming, while also representing select third-party content aligned with its brand and audience strategy.

The company’s broader production slate includes titles such as Rust Valley Restorers, Backroad Truckers, Yukon Rescue, Vet Detective, The Last Captains, and the upcoming six-part drama Adapting for AMI.

BTD International continues to actively expand its international sales pipeline across

documentary, scripted, unscripted, and format-driven content.
