Matthew Shewchuk launches Happy Heart Studios with Indigenous filmmaker Joy Haskell

Matthew Shewchuk has teamed up with Indigenous filmmaker Joy Haskell to launch a new production company called Happy Heart Studios Inc. They plan to pool their resources to collaborate on unscripted and scripted projects that will entertain and inspire audiences. The new company is currently developing a slate of three docu-series featuring a wide range of characters and stories, from Southern Alberta to the Northwest Territories. “After meeting Joy, it was clear that we share the same love for storytelling and homegrown characters. It was a natural fit,” says Matthew Shewchuk.
